Circular Biobased Economy,
The Netherlands

“Being involved in the EUBCE for many years, it is a great honour to welcome the biomass community for the third time to the Netherlands, after 2002 and 2016. After a rigorous evaluation of 847 abstracts submitted from 58 countries, EUBCE once again reinforces its position as the leading international conference on biomass and the bioeconomy. All submissions were carefully assessed by the EUBCE Scientific Committee, comprising over 150 international experts and coordinated by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre.

Their evaluations are shaping a high-quality conference programme organised around six core topics, spanning the entire biomass value chain — from sustainable resource management to innovative bio-based products.

The programme places strong emphasis on responsible biomass sourcing, including agricultural residues and waste, complemented by in-depth policy, market, and system analyses that support the development of a resilient and competitive bioeconomy. Dedicated industry sessions will showcase state-of-the-art conversion technologies, from bioenergy production (combustion and gasification) to advanced and synthetic biofuels, as well as high-value biomaterials and chemicals developed through biorefining.

Discover key figures, emerging trends, and detailed topics on the EUBCE 2026 website.

A sincere thank you to all authors for their valuable contributions and commitment to excellence.
