The Netherlands is very pleased to host the EUBCE 2026 and welcomes you to the beautiful city of The Hague!
Kees Kwant
Netherlands Enterprise Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs RVO, The Netherlands
The Netherlands has long been at the forefront of the global transition towards a biobased economy. In the past bioresources were primarily seen as a renewable energy source, but now it is increasingly recognized as a strategic feedstock for high value applications. From advanced biochemicals to next generation polymers and sustainable building materials, Dutch companies are delivering solutions that not only cut greenhouse gas emissions, but also unlock entirely new markets worldwide.
The strength of the Dutch position lies in a unique combination: world class knowledge institutes, a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, and strong public private partnerships. In the Netherlands you can find a diverse mix of companies, universities and research institutes: established leaders with a proven track record alongside a new generation of pioneers introducing fresh research results, technologies, services, and business models. This blend reflects the continuity, depth, and innovative power of the Dutch biobased sector.
After 2002 and 2016, this will be the third time the EUBCE takes place in the Netherlands. We are proud to present our companies, universities and research institutes during the EUBCE at the exhibition, site visits or presentations. Our National Team is actively developing ideas to enable this and we are keen to learn about your interest. We invite you to join the EUBCE in the Hague and explore the innovative strength of the Netherlands further and develop more collaboration.
See you in the Hague,
On behalf of the national committee,
Kees Kwant
Chair National Committee
