SETDEPLOY Launches to Accelerate Bioenergy and Renewable Fuels Across Europe! 

In September the Horizon Europe funded project SETDEPLOY - Driving the Implementation of the SET Plan Action 8-  has officially been established to support the implementation of the EU’s Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan in bioenergy and renewable fuels. The project aims to strengthen policy alignment, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and advance the EU’s climate and energy targets for 2030 and 2050

SEAFAIRER Project holds its Consortium Meeting in Florence 

One year into the SEAFAIRER - Sustainable Energy and Alternative Fuels from Advanced Intermediate Renewable Energy Carrier Technology - project, ETA-Florence had the pleasure of gathering the entire team in Florence. The project is making progress toward enabling decentralized production of advanced biofuels for maritime transport turning waste into energy and value, supporting the ecological transition and aligning with the objectives of FuelEUMaritime and the IMO

La Prima Conferenza Italiana sull'Agrivoltaico - The First Italian Conference on Agrivoltaics 

Un appuntamento dedicato a istituzioni, aziende, investitori, sviluppatori ed esperti del settore chiamati a discutere in modo proattivo e costruttivo sulle opportunità concrete offerte da questa tecnologia strategica per il futuro del Paese. La conferenza si propone di guardare alle migliori pratiche europee, promuovendo il dialogo tra i protagonisti e gli stakeholder che rappresentano i settori delle energie rinnovabili e dell’agricoltura.
L’evento è organizzato da ETA Florence Renewable Energies, con il Patrocinio della Reale Ambasciata di Danimarca, nell’ambito del Semestre di Presidenza danese del Consiglio dell’Unione Europea (“Un’Europa competitiva e verde”) e di Fondazione UniVerde, con l'adesione di Agrivoltaica e tra le aziende sponsor European Energy, Next2sun e SunAgri, in occasione della IPV Conference. 

An event dedicated to institutions, companies, investors, developers, and sector experts called upon to proactively and constructively discuss the concrete future opportunities offered by this strategic technology. The conference aims to look at the best European practices, promoting dialogue among the stakeholders representing the renewable energy and agricultural sectors.The event is organized by ETA Florence Renewable Energies, with the patronage of the Royal Danish Embassy, within the framework of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union ("A competitive and green Europe") and the UniVerde Foundation, with the support of Agrivoltaica and among the sponsoring companies: European Energy, Next2sun, and SunAgri, on the occasion of IPV Conference.

Integrating PV Technologies in the Built Environment and Landscape

The IPV Conference, organised by ETA-Florence, in the framework of Seamless-PV - Development of advanced manifacturing equipment and processes aimed at the seamless integration of multifunctional PV solutions, enabling the deployment of IPV sectors - projectis a unique chance to exchange and distribute knowledge for everything concerning the integration of PV. Emphasis is on demonstrating integrated approaches of the many solutions in technology, engineering, design, and finance. This year’s program reflects that ambition. You will find sessions on building-integrated PV, urban applications and agrivoltaics, vehicle-integrated solutions, digital modelling, policy frameworks, and resource efficiency strategies

The event is accredited with 8 CPD credits by the Order of Architects of Florence and 10 CPD credits by the Order of Engineers of Florence is underway.

BiFOREST4EU Project New Report: Policy Recommendations for a Future-Proof Forestry Sector

We are pleased to share a key outcome of the FOREST4EU - European Innovation Partnership Network Promoting Operational Group Dedicated to Forestry and Agroforestry -project Policy Focus Groups. This report, edited by ETA-Florence, gathers findings from dialogues across Central, South-East, and South-West Europe to provide crucial recommendations for EU policymakers and stakeholders.

Renewable Methanol Production for the Shipping Industry -
M2ARE Project First of a Series of Factsheets 

We're excited to launch the first of a series of factsheets - The Biogenic Solution for Maritime Decarbonisation, produced by ETA-Florence. This first factsheet by M2ARE - Maritime Methanol – Adaptable, Renewable and Environmentally friendly: Reducing marine fuel CO2 emissions by more than 80% - project explores how biogenic CO2 (from biomass, e.g., agricultural waste) combined with renewable hydrogen can produce low-carbon methanol. This effectively transforms an existing emission source into a renewable carbon feedstock.

In the scope of the Integrated Photovoltaic Conference, DIDA-Department of Architecture at the University of Florence, Landscape Design Lab, will organize a parallel event with the objective to set-up an expert panel to inform and discuss on first outcomes.This parallel event signifies a relevant cross-dissemination between the EU funded SEAMLESS-PV - Development of Advanced Manifacturing Equipment and Processes Aimed at the Seamless Integration of Multifunctional PV Solutions, Enabling the Deployment of IPV sectors - and CO2PACMAN projects.
