New Wave Project - Sustainable Biobased Products for the Construction Industry: Results Booklet Available

We are pleased to share the final results of the NewWave project, which promoted a radical transformation of the materials used in the construction sector by replacing current fossil-based production lines with new bio-based ones, capable of upcycling biomass residues and end-of-life products. NewWave project has demonstrated that in the construction sector it's possible to replace current fossil-based production lines with new bio-based ones

Driving the Transition: Key Takeaways from 34th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition - EUBCE 2026

What an incredible week of innovation, collaboration, and groundbreaking science! This year, EUBCE brought together 1,431 participants from 63 countries, proving once again that the global transition to a bio-based economy is accelerating. From brilliant plenary, oral presentations and inspiring poster sessions to dynamic parallel events and exhibitors' presentations, EUBCE 2026 served as the ultimate platform for scientists, industry leaders, and legislators to share their research and findings. The energy was unmatched, resulting in deep discussions, invaluable new connections, and promising new collaborations.

M2ARE Project - Renewable Methanol Production for the Shipping Industry - and COCPIT Project - Circular Production of Microalgae-Based Fuels for Shipping and Aviation - Joint Workshop at EUBCE 2026

FUEL-UP Project - Advancing Sustainable Aviation & Marine Fuels - at EUBCE 2026

FUEL-UP project participated in EUBCE 2026 with an oral presentation on the optimisation of the production of pyrolysis oil, with a poster presentation on the experimental work on raman spectroscopic method as well as with a second poster presentation on the "Production of Renewable Aviation and Marine Fuels from Wood-Based Pyrolysis Oils through Hydrotreatment".

Fit4Micro Project – Clean and Efficient MicroCHCP by Micro Turbine Based Hybrid Systems - at EUBCE 2026

Fit4Micro Project successfully presented its activities at EUBCE 2026 with an oral presentation and a parallel event on the project's micro CHCP hybrid heating system running on biofuels, as well as with the oral presentation "Impact of Hydrotreatment Severity on the Properties of Hydrotreated Pyrolysis Oil".

IEA Bioenergy Workshop on Sustainable Biomass Availability and Mobilisation
