Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to present a holistic approach for the biorefinery’s sustainability based primarily on the production of selected value added natural chemical products and secondly on the energy and biofuels production. Specifically, the production of fine chemicals with increasing demand and high commercial value such as natural dyes will be studied. Furthermore, a wide compination of biomass treatments will be evaluated in order to achieve the optimum fragmentation of the biomass feedstock in multiple value added products of high quality.
