Abstract:
The agriculture lignocellulosic raw materials from wheat straw and maize stalks are potential sources for the production of ethanol. The investigation was carried out on preliminary chipped and hydrothermal treated wheat straw and maize stalks. The pulp hydrolysis was carried out by cellulase complex and the kinetics of the process was examined. The enzyme hydrolysis to glucose is best described by an exponential kinetic equation, which is well recognised in case of processes on uniformly inhomogeneous surfaces. It is established that the activation energy and the preexponential factor increase in the course of the process. It is obtained higher rates of maize stalks hydrolysis compearing with wheat straw, which are due to the something lower energetic hindrances for that raw material.
