Abstract:
The ORION project deals with the in situ treatment, through anaerobic digestion (biomethanization) of specific organic wastes from different producers. This process implies a community of anaerobic microorganisms acting in synergy (the methanogenic syntrophy). To ensure an optimal function of this process, several conditions must be respected, regarding substrate compositon and digestion parameters. A troubleshooting strategy, including an analytical survey of the liquid (digestate) and gaseous phases will be established. Residue stabilization by co-composting will be also envisaged.
