Abstract:
Purpose of work was to assess the logistic chain considering different scenarios in terms of biomass (tree crops, grasses and crop residues), transport and economic contexts. To this end, several solutions with available transportation means, enabling to move the biomass from field to the processing plant, have been examined: agricultural machineries (tractors, farm truck) as well as road transport means (road train or truck). For economic evaluations, quantity and the quality of transported biomass have been analyzed for both the type of transport means. The total final cost for delivering different types of biomass has been estimated for a length of 20 km and 70 km and the total hourly cost of the machines has been calculated taking into account technical and economic parameters.
