Abstract:
There is still a seri rious problem in demand side management with fluctuating wind and solar power production, if renewable energy y should be the only or dominating energy source. Withouut a solution it is not possible to rely on a secure and base load electrical power supplying renewable energy systtem. Besides different measures, e.g. hydropower stora rage systems, the renewable energy source biomass offers a s storage option as such and can be used for the necessary demand oriented production and conversion. In the fra ramework of a project funded by DBU with the objecti ive for connecting the biogas plant Jersted/Goslar to the "Ennergy Park Clausthal" more fundamental research wwas possible for contribution of biogas production in an overlaying energy management system to balance e fluctuating wind and solar power and the operation of CHP with biogas for production of electrical and thermal power.
