Abstract:
Using multi-walled carbon nanotubes as support, catalysts with varying K, Ni and Co contents were prepared and the catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption, x-ray diffraction, and TPR. The textural characteristics of the catalysts are found to be low compared to that of pure support. The low intensity of peaks in XRD patterns for metal particles indicates that added metal particles are finely dispersed on the support. At high Co (6 wt%) and Ni (4.5 wt%) content, the peaks corresponding to CoMo and NiMo phases are appeared. A shift in reduction temperature of Mo(VI) to lower temperature.
