Abstract:
The objective of this study was to characterize co-products from bioethanol processing in ruminal and intestinal digestions as influenced by grain type, blended ratio and production batches. The results showed that despite being excellent sources of intestinally available protein, the extremely higher than optimal values of N:CHO and OEB, as indications of potential loss of N, and variations on nutrient availability among the different batches of DDGS are factors that may hamper their inclusion as protein supplements in ruminant rations.
