Abstract:

This study assesses the feasibility of developing a Programme of Activities (PoA) or, alternatively, a bundle of projects, under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) or in the voluntary carbon market, based on various small scale biofuel activities in West Africa, with an initial focus on Mali. It ascertains which of these approaches is the most relevant in context of CDM financing for small­scale Jatropha biofuel production.
