Abstract:

The paper presents the complex energy analysis of the process of complete biomass gasification on the basis of elaborated mathematical model of this process. This model allow one to perform multivariant simulation investigations of energy aspects of this process with changeable parameters such as: temperature and pressure of the gasification process, kind of biomass and kind, temperature and excess ratio of gasifying agent. It allows of numerical simulation of various methods of biomass gasification in various temperatures and with the help of various gasifying agents. The equations of the model describe chemical, physical and energy phenomena occurring in gas generator. The solution of the model allows one to determine: composition and heating value of produced gas, gasifying agent consumption, excess ratio of gasifying agent, volume of gas obtained from 1 kg of biomass, chemical and energy efficiency of gasification process. In equations describing energy processes in gas generator, the physical enthalpies of produced gas and gasifying agent and equilibrium constants of particular chemical reactions proceeding in gas generator have been determined with the help of statistical physics. (sums of states of particular components of produced gas and gasifying agent).
