Abstract:
In the food industry resulting from the processes of production, overproduction of faulty batches materials can be used for meaningful utilization. Especially with highenergy liquid substrates, such as Milk and dairy products, an energy recovery in a biogas plant can be possible. On the basis of laboratory tests the gas potential and the real gas yield of the digestion of sewage sludge and with waste milk were determined. A stable running of the codigestion could be obtained. In the experiments with a hydraulic retention time of 25 days higher degrees of degradation of organic matter and higher biogas yields could be determined than in the experiments with a hydraulic retention time of 20 days. The anaerobic utilization of the digested material could be carried out stable by laboratory tests. The results can be applied to the largescale operation.
