Abstract:
In 2010, the three-yea ar gasification project PowerBox has been initiated to demo onstrate the continuous operation performance of the floa ating-bed-reduction-reactor-technology (FBRR) and to fi ind strategies for the utilization of alternative solid bio-fu uels like straw, biogas residues etc. After the first year of op peration with standard fuel (wood chips), essential finding gs about the operation limits and the long-term behaviour of the plant could be reached. In the following years, the ffocus will be set on the fuel flexibility.
