Abstract:
The aim of the present paper is to study the effect of heat flux density under which a biomass sample is submitted during pyrolysis to the products distribution. For that purpose, experiments of oak fast pyrolysis are performed in an image furnace delivering available heat flux densities close to those prevailing inside a dual fluidized bed gasifier. All the products (i.e. char, condensable vapors and gases) are recovered allowing the assessment of mass balances. In addition, various physicochemical properties of pyrolysis products are characterized as a function of available heat flux density revealing the effet of thermal conditions on pyrolysis products properties.
