Abstract:
This work focuses on the synthesis, utilization and characterization of novel nickel-based catalyst especially designed for Supercritical Water Gasification (SCWG) processing. The relationships between catalyst stability and activity are discussed through the confrontation of characterization data performed on both fresh and spent catalysts as well as experimental results on sugar beet vinasse gasification. This preliminary work aims to highlight the potential of catalytic SCWG by using non-noble metal and stable catalyst formulation.
