Abstract:
Due to the pressure of climate change, drought is more visible in the Mediterranean area, where the rainfall amount is always getting lower. The possibility of growing crops without water inputs throughout the entire growth cycle is something that warrants further consideration and study. Finding crops adapted to these environments is crucial to giving a future to these marginal lands that otherwise would be abandoned. The aim of this work was the evaluation of the establishment and production of annual and perennial industrial crops in areas characterized by marginality constraints. This study shows preliminary results that need to be completed in the following years.
