Abstract:
Biomass, which is predominantly used as wood fuel and charcoal for home cooking, lighting, and heating, is the primary energy source in African countries. African countries have an opportunity to benefit from the rising demand for biofuels thanks to the continent's abundant biomass resources. Indeed, Africa benefits from a variety of biomasses that are abundant in high-value components and precursors for use in energy. Bioenergy is considered a renewable and sustainable source of energy. In fact, among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) developed by the United Nations (UN), there are more than 10 SDGs in which biogas technology can play an important role in their achievements. In this context, scientists and manufacturers are being inspired to take advantage of the ability to transform biomass in Africa into sustainable energy due to the immensity of its resources and the importance of its potential.
