Abstract:
Due to the lack of treatment in the process of recycling biowaste to compost, compost is the one of the sources of the entrance plastic into the environment. Tracking the plastic in the environment and investigate the effect of plastic it is not easy. Also, plastic in the environment is exposed to the degradation by sunlight, rain, heat, moisture, and mechanical stress. Environmental impacts like rain and sunlight can lead to degrade plastic to micro size and release additives. It raised the possibility that µp and additives reach the groundwater and are found in the ecosystem. A novel test bench is built to help studying the impact of microplastic and leaching additives under natural condition like sunlight and rain. It is tried to find out the effect of liberation of additives on pH value of the water and soil with presence of simulated sunlight.
