Abstract:

In this research work, the obtaining of biocrude from microalgae using a reactor of the hydrothermal liquefaction process and the use of enzymes. In the pressurized hydrothermal liquefaction reactor, the reaction will be carried out with a catalyst for this, a test protocol will be established having as variables: pressure, temperature, reaction time, microalgae mass / enzyme mass. Therefore, the scientific contribution is to investigate different enzymes that achieve better results in obtaining biocrude. It is a challenge to generate this new knowledge since in the cited literature it is still incipient in this information. The other challenge is to lower the operating conditions since when converting microalgae into biocrude a bioreactor is used that works at high temperatures and even more at high pressure (1500psig). The last word has not yet been said, but to go on the path of producing biocrude from here a few years we will stop using fossil oil that does so much damage to the ecosystem.
