Abstract:

The employment and use at the STAR Facility Centre of the methodology for the assessment and upgrading of biomass feedstocks for thermochemical processing, which is developed by the BTU group, is discussed in this paper. This approach would promote the deployment of “green” thermorefineries in the Capitanata area, and also open the way for a smart specialization of the latter in the field of thermochmical biomass conversion to bioenergy and bioproduct vectors.
