Abstract:

In rural areas the locally available the whole agricultural biomass can be converted into energy. New approach called BIOSYNPOWER can be used for this purpose. It combines gasification and anaerobic digestion processes in one site. Biogas is used for providing the heat to the burner in gasification process while syngas can be used in an efficient way as a fuel for the molten carbonated fuel cell. To increase the electric efficiency of the system the organic Rankine cycle (ORC) units have been implemented to the BISYNPOWER concept.
