“From Linear to Circular” Message from the Conference General Chair

It is a great honour for me to welcome you in Marseille for the 32nd edition of the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition. We planned to meet in 2020 but it was postponed! The situation in Europe and the world is not the same as it was 4 years ago. A number of events and changes have shown that we need stability and energy security.

How can we improve the recycling of carbon and nitrogen? How can we improve the synergies between agroecology, agroforestry and the bioeconomy? How can we develop both new carbon-neutral technologies and natural biomass sinks? How can we assess the available biomass potential? How can we develop fair and balanced decision-making tools? These are the many challenges we face.
