Great response to EUBCE 2020 call for papers!

Over 950 abstracts have been received for the Call for Papers of the 28th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE 2020)
Nicolae Scarlat Technical programme Chair of the upcoming EUBCE 2020 commented, “I am very happy with the large number of abstracts submitted. The submissions demonstrate that the interest in biomass and bioeconomy keeps on growing.”
The abstracts were received from more than 3.500 authors and co-authors in 72 countries.
Most abstracts were handed in from Italy with a share of around 14%, followed by Germany (12%) and the host country France (7%). Around half of the top 10 respondents come from European countries, including Spain (6%), The Netherlands (5%), UK (5%) and Portugal (3%).
Scientists from Asia’s leading Biomass nations have shown big interest, with most abstracts coming from China, Korea, Thailand, Japan, India, for a total of 8%. Further top contributors are from the US (3%) and from South Africa (2%).

The EUBCE Scientific Committee, composed of more than 160 independent reviewers is currently assessing the abstracts to create the programme for the plenary, oral and visual presentations.

Abstracts (in the format of 1 page + up to 3 explanatory pages) shall be written in English and must include the following sections addressing:

Aim and approach used
-
Scientific innovation and relevance
-
Results or preliminary results and conclusions
Authors also need to provide:

Applicable topic and sub-topic number (e.g. 1.2) and a brief justification of the choice of subtopic to assist the evaluation process

Full paper title
-
Full name, affiliation, address, e-mail and phone of one author for all correspondence
-
For all other authors, full name, affiliation and e-mail
The total length should not be more than four A4 pages
Call for Parallel Events

The EUBCE 2020 Parallel Events offer a deep insight into specific topics along the most recent biomass and bioeconomy technology, application and market trends and address to global decision makers from industry, research, finance and politics. The Parallel Events are open to all registered conference participants.
Your proposal will be reviewed to assure the complementarity to the overall Conference Programme and to avoid any content or timing overlaps.
