Great Response to EUBCE 2018's Call for Papers
|
|
The Call for Abstracts for the 26th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark from 14th to 18th May 2018, returned the remarkable result of more than 900 contributions submitted from 70 countries. The contributions cover the entire biomass value chain and come from the world’s leading biomass energy research, industry and market institutions.
The result confirms, once again, the growing trend of the event's increasingly international scope with greater participation from countries outside Europe (33%).
-
Asian based researchers have shown an increased interest accounting for over 17% of the total abstracts submitted (+58%) with most abstracts coming from China, India (+57%), South Korea (+130%) and Pakistan (+58%).
-
Central and South America contribute to 8% and North America to 5% out of the total
-
Further top contributors are Scandinavian countries, especially Denmark, the host country, contributing double the amount of abstracts than the previous edition.
