IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

European Biomass Conference and Exhibition – EUBCE 2020 rescheduled due to Covid-19 / Coronavirus
Dear Colleagues
The EUBCE – European Biomass Conference and Exhibition is a key fixture in the global biomass calendar, bringing together hundreds of scientist leaders, companies, innovators and stakeholders. Over the past 30 years this event has been recognized as the biomass hub in Europe.
The Executive Committee of the EUBCE is monitoring the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak with the closest attention and is deeply concerned about the potential impacts on the conference participants. Ensuring that each and every person involved with the conference remains safe during the annual EUBCE event is our highest priority.
We inform you that, given the worldwide Covid-19 / Coronavirus outbreak (that was declared pandemic by the World Health Organisation on 11 March 2020) and the related travel restrictions imposed on countries, partners’ organizations and participants, the 28th EUBCE will be rescheduled from the current dates of 27-30 April 2020 to take place on
6 – 9 July 2020
Rescheduling EUBCE will enable us to ensure an optimal and rewarding experience for everyone involved, most importantly while minimizing personal risk to health. The venue, programme, agenda and high-level speaker line-up remain essentially the same, promising networking, idea sharing and business creation opportunities as always. Everyone’s registration will automatically be transferred to the new dates without any administrative burden upon you. We are available to answer any questions you may have concerning the changes.
We would like to thank all people involved within EUBCE - speakers, delegates, sponsors, suppliers, exhibitors and partners - for their support in this difficult period. We will continue to monitor the unique situation as it evolves, and we will update our attendees, exhibitors and partners of significant changes in a timely manner as they arise. Please continue to follow us on our website and on social networks. We look forward to welcoming you in Marseille!
With kind regards,
The EUBCE Organization Team.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIRS

Dear colleagues, friends and partners,
As you will notice with the above news, we are entering a difficult period full of uncertainties: we’ve never had to postpone EUBCE before and it was a very challenging decision to take, but it is our responsibility to follow the WHO recommendations. At the same time, however, it’s our duty to prepare for the revival as soon as the crisis is over.
We would like to underline that EUBCE is in any case ongoing, as it has been for many years, and that the current postponement is just that: not a cancellation.
In addition we are working on EUBCEgoesDigital to deliver on live streaming the Opening Session as the topics we discuss there will be very relevant to all of us.
We are absolutely convinced that EUBCE will prove to be as always the excellent tool for aggregation and economic development and we very much hope that all of you reading this message will have a role to play in this initiative as we move forwards.
Thank you so much for the continuing support.
