EUBCE 2018 Detailed Conference Programme is now available
|
|
We are excited to share with you the full programme of the upcoming 26th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition.
The Conference Agenda provides an overview on the latest R&D in biomass technology and addresses all different subjects of the biomass sector with an updated and refined programme structure and topics responding to the latest challenges, developments and trends in modern energy technologies on biofuels, biogas and power and heat generation by combustion and gasification. The EUBCE programme, therefore, aims at providing insights into cutting edge research on biomass technologies as well as on the appropriate approaches to deliver sustainable bioenergy.
The Conference Programme is structured along the following main topics:
2. | BIOMASS CONVERSION TECHNOLOGIES FOR HEATING, COOLING AND ELECTRICITY
|
3. | BIOMASS CONVERSION TECHNOLOGIES FOR FUELS, CHEMICALS AND MATERIALS
|
4. | BIOMASS POLICIES, MARKETS AND SUSTAINABILITY
|
5. | BIOENERGY INTEGRATION IN ENERGY SYSTEMS
|
Knowledge exchange is essential to find answers to the questions of the current debate on biomass exploitation.
The following challenges, trends and more represent some of the main subjects along which EUBCE 2018 Conference Programme is structured:
-
What is the state-of-the-art and future prospects of sustainability governance of biomass producing landscapes and biomass-based supply chains?
-
How to better understand the implications of bioenergy systems on the economy, the climate and ecosystems? What are the lessons learnt as regards bioenergy LCA studies and systems as crucial policy support tools?
-
What are the climate benefits from bioenergy in agriculture and forestry?
-
What are the challenges and opportunities of assessing potential ILUC impacts of second generation biofuels production at a project level?
-
Why a sustainable and integrated approach for the use of residues and waste biomass could be a key contribution for the European energy transformation?
-
How can we vastly improve biomass valorisation process and enhance the efficient biomass use not only for energy production but for valuable biochemical synthesis?
-
What will be the role of bioenergy in future energy systems?
Once again the conference and exhibition are offering both a world-class overview and in-depth insights to the latest biomass research. Check out the link below for the listing of presentations, as well as the overall time schedule for the week.
Detailed Conference Programme
EUBCE 2018 Technical Tour: NGF Holsted Biogas Plant
In addition to the conference programme, exhibition and parallel events, this year members of the EUBCE Danish organising committee will coordinate special technical visits to sites in the centre of the country where biomass is the key renewable feedstock into processes producing renewable energy, biofuels, biochemicals and biomaterials as well as integrating bioproducts into traditional established fossil-based systems.
|
|
|
During Friday 18 May 2018, conference attendees will receive the opportunity to visit NGF Holsted Biogas Plant.
Early Bird Registration until 6th March 2018 |
|
The conference agenda is set to feature more than 800 presentations by leading researchers, policy makers and industry representatives from biomass and bioenergy institutes, universities and international companies and organisations.
Throughout the 4 days of the Conference Programme you will be able to hear some of the most innovative and exciting developments, technologies and project researches the international biomass community’s best has to offer!
The Exhibition, running parallel to the Conference, offers the perfect opportunity to learn about developments, research and trends in the biomass sector as well as to get inspired by new ideas and Find future business partners and customers from around the world.
