Clean Biofuel Production and Phytoremediation Solutions from Contaminated Land Worldwide: Phy2Climate Project Final Event

We're excited to invite you to the final event of Phy2Climate project, marking the conclusion of 4.5 years of collaborative research and innovation for the recovery of arable land through improved phytoremediation combined with advanced liquid biofuel production and a climate friendly copper smelting process. The project successfully validated four phytoremediation pilot sites in Spain, Serbia, Lithuania, and Argentina at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5. These pilots addressed some of the most common types of soil contaminants found around the world.

Biobased Materials and Products Validated through the BIOMAC Project Ecosysyem

The Biomac Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) launched an open call in 2023 that selected a series of project proposal that will be upscale from lab stage to industrial prototypes. In these two latest factsheets, we are looking at the products derived from seaweed developed by Notpla Ltd as well as at the ThermoPHAck, a new solution for food packaging by Helian Polymers BV.
