EXCITING EU PROJECTS LAUNCHES 
Maritime Methanol - Adaptable, Renewable and Environmentally Friendly: Reducing Marine Fuel CO2 Emissions by more than 80%:  M²ARE Project
On December 1, 2023, the 7 consortium partners met in Frankfurt for the kick-off meeting of M²ARE project. The project aims to develop and demonstrate a novel process for “Maritime Methanol”, a new grade of low-cost low-carbon methanol based on biogenic CO2 and renewable H2, to support the needs of the global shipping sector in reducing their CO2 emissions.
ETA-Florence Renewable Energies is the proud leader for the dissemination, communication and exploitation activities for this project.

Circular and Innovative Production of Microalgae-Based Fuels for Shipping and Aviation: COCPIT Project
COCPIT project, launched on October 1, 2023, will support the large-scale implementation of microalgae-based fuels for aviation and maritime transport through an innovative and circular process, supplemented by a disruptive decision tool for end-users.

Boosting the Market Deployment of Safe, Effective and Sustainable Innovations for Soil Improvement from Bio-Waste, towards Regenerative Soil Systems: BIN2BEAN Project
On September 13-14, 2023, 11 partners from 7 countries across Europe met in Milan to kick off the BIN2BEAN project, an EU-funded Innovation Action project that aims to support European cities by promoting innovations that aim to valorise bio-waste and optimising their recycling into soil improvers through innovative and economically viable value chains
ETA-Florence Renewable Energies is leading the communication and dissemination activities of the project, as well as contributing to the clustering initiatives with other projects and the drafting of new policy recommendations.
